Hey, I recognize that above image! (I'm the one who created it with those translations, someone put my image into theSamba gallery, which I do not mind) https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/glutamod...German.jpg

So anyway, you mean the passenges? The auxiliary fuel jet leads mostly to the air bypass screw, the pilot jet leads to the idle circuit and transitional circuit.

The H30/31PICT is mostly based on the 31PICT-3 carburetor, (except it's set up for vacuum advance like the 1970 30PICT-3 was, which was the first carburetor of this general design) If you can follow German, there is a Solex manual in the Archives that shows the idle circuits in a schematic diagram. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/solex_30_34_german.php

Some time back I went and used a couple of those illustrations and added translations and color to help illustrate the Auxiliary and Idle(Pilot) fuel systems. I never got around to putting them in the Gallery so I'll do it now - these are idealized schematic diagrams so reflect the overall fuel flow through those passenges but are not actualy blueprint style schematics that show the actual orientation of these jets on the carburetor body.

The enrichment circuits, or "power fuel system" for high speed enrichment, draw simply directly from the bowl to the dual outlets in the top half of the carburetor.
