We worked on my bus all winter and here is a summary of what was done:
- Custom interior all made out of Bamboo and Mahoganny (Me and a friend) -> Not finished yet.
- New engine 1995 dual 40 webber (Franklin's VW Werks)
- Custom HWE full length rack (yes this one goes from tip to toe) (Franklin's VW Werks)
- New 4" narrowed front beam (Franklin's VW Werks)
- Front disc brakes (Franklin's VW Werks)
- Dropped spindles (Franklin's VW Werks)
- Rear adjustable spring plates (Franklin's VW Werks)
- Custom trailer hitch to clear the stainless steel exhaust and the rear bumper
... and more next year (when the $$ fill my pockets again).

Thanks for the compliments.
I ve had this bus for 11years now and have done 3 cross country camping in it in 2008 and use it to tow my motorcycle to track days as well.

It s my only car/bus with my motorcycle so it s on the road most of the time... I ll be at Franklin's on Saturday afternoon if you want to stop by, check out the new shop and the bus!

As a daily driver, I wanted a specific drop for the look and also to keep it useful for the PNW roads and potholes.... It rides very smoothly (wasnt easy to get to that point) and still has almost the same smooth ride (a little bit stiffer -> what I wanted).

They are just down the road from their old location. 3.5miles on the same road. They are still in the process of setting everything up but should be done very soon (if not already).

here is the new address:
Franklin's VW Werks
730 Central Ave North
Kent, Washington 98032
phone number is 425 251 0747

The floor is called "Tiger Bamboo". It s real wood flooring not vinyl.

Who are the "tire nazi's"? What do they have against me?
