There used to be a few when it was in Manassas. My 57 won't even be close so I'll just be looking for parts for it.

Im in the same boat...looking for some parts for the 53. I remember the better variety at Old Dominion...those were the days. Still enjoy the bug out though...

I haven't been to one in years. Got out of the scene for about 6-7 years and just bought this 57 a few months ago.

It wasn't too bad. The weather was great (if a little on the hot side), swap meet was pretty thin on the early stuff. All I scored was a pretty sweet gas tank. Nothing else on my list was there. Got a few engine parts from the new parts vendors and that's it. There was some really nice cars too both air and water cooled. There was actually more aircooled than I thought there would be. I think a lot of people are getting used to the switch from Manassas, but personally I think the venue at Dinwiddie is a lot nicer than Manassas ever was.

This was probably the worst turn out of air cooled and swap venders I have seen at a spring bug out. Was better than last fall for the cars but the used parts were better in September. VMP has better bathrooms and a better track but no character and is in the middle of nothing. I prefer the grass over the asphalt for parking. They really need to get the venders back. Last spring it looked pretty good, I don't know what happened this year.

I agree with Chad. The swap meet area was really bad. Almost nothing but rusted junk. Someone was selling Bus clips off of a Bus I'm pretty sure just fell apart rather then being cut. There were entire tables full I've parts I'd have just thrown in the trash if I'd stripped the car the came off of.

Yup....the one memorial weekend 2013 was twice as big as this one. ..better cars. ..better vendors. I walked away empty handed... and all I was looking for was a battery cover and four beanie hubcaps. Cars were nice..I always enjoy checking it out anyway. By the way. ...is there a show within a couple hours driving distance thats always good?? I think im going to save my time and pennies and try new shows.

I started checking out some new shows last year. HAVOC puts on a good one in the spring. The Vdub bash is another good one coming up in July. Simple transport is a must go in August. The Richmond club has one coming up on the Saturday before fathers day in chester, I haven't been but have heard is a pretty good one too. It would be nice to have the bugout back in the Nova area so more of the Md, Pa, and Wv folks would be able to attend.

Here's my album of photos from the show. Used vendors were a little light. I only picked up a couple used parts. Spent most of my money on the new part vendors. Best deal was a rear upper/lower seat for my 70 from one of the guys showing his car.
