Can someone post or send me some pictures of the spindles of a brandoor bus?

A friend asked me if I could lower his spindles as well, but I have only worked on the recent type so I would like to see some pictures of the barndoor spindles to check if I can do them as well.

Thanks,

Peter

So they are "flipped" already??

This would mean that I can not lower them the same way as it is done with the 60s spindles??
How are they lowered then? Is it at all possible?

Still would like to see some pics!!

If I remember correctly, MoneyMike is right about using early non-Barndoor spindles. I do think however that the trailing arms must be used as well.

If he wants to lower his Barndoor, use T-1 spindels... I know a couple of guys who did that. They are just about bolt-on. If I remember this right you just need to machine a pair of new bushings for the linkpins. (They are a bit thinner on T-1). They lower about 2,5 inches.

The distance between the torsionarms on Barn vs. later split buses are different aren't they... (correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm going to do the switch the other way... Wink
