i recently rebuilt my suspension front and rear but when i went to have it aligned the shop said the right rear camber adjustment would not allow the camber to fall within spec. spec was -1.3 to .3 and the actual was -1.6. any ideas why this would be this way? everything else fell within spec. the guy said he had the trailing arm adjusted all the way down in the slot. and could not get the camber in spec.
i was wondering if filing out the slot where the bushing bolt slides would be a solution or is there something else wrong? since this is a wetfailia camper is the weight on the drivers side causing this? any help is appreciated. _________________ i see said the blind man to his deaf dog

It's not uncommon to have to extend the slot to increase the amount of camber adjustment.
As for the cause, I assume you replaced the bushings when you rebuilt your rear suspension? Ride height, bent parts, tweaked chassis mounting locations, loose wheel bearings, elongated holes in bearing housings, etc. can all be causes. And sometimes it's a combination of a few small things that add up. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

thanks for the input yes i replace bushing and bolts and filed the slots smooth there were some burs. i dont think anything is bent ? doesnt look bent but how to check? doesnt seem like the bearing are loose but i will need to check. would the weight difference from passenger to driver side (since this is a camper) cause this? _________________ i see said the blind man to his deaf dog

The weight itself isn't an issue, but if it's enough to change the ride height, yes, it will cause more inherant camber on the weighted side. The rear suspesnion gains negative camber as it compresses so the lower the ride height, the more camber. If the ride height change is too much for the range of camber adjustment, then you will need to slot the adjustment hole even more than you already did to get the camber back to spec. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)
