The base is a broad U-shaped piece that is clamped to the floor with bolts and wingnuts. The bolts fit into the same in-floor mounting key plates that are found in transporters.
The seat bottom fits into that base with an arrangement similar to that for the early bay passenger seats, and the seat back fits into a similar mount on the back of the cab.

Thanks for reply, I have the pedestal (was a swop for a door) need the padded base and back _________________
