Hi,
Heading to Maryland from Nashville to a family reunion. I need a good camping spot around half way which is either before or after Roanoke. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Go through WV. Avoid I-81.
It's gorgeous here. I-79 is a nice drive, good roads, lots of rest areas and places to stop and look at the mountains.
You figure out what is halfway for you on google maps and I'll give you a list of places. |

Hi folks.
I had a great trip to Frederick Maryland and back to Nashville. I got back Tuesday. On Wednesday the first day I had some bucking on the hills followed by hard starting. I got the van over to Mark Dearing at Salen Import
Service. She needed new points which, I should have done before I left. mark also found and fixed an oil leak. On the way back I "camped" at a truckstop not far from Bristol, VA. Enjoyed a good dinner and slept like a rock. I did an oil change when I got back on Tuesday. Per Mark's suggestion, I switched from Mobil 1 to Castrol 20-50.
Here's a bar near Winchester, VA I have passed by may times. I finally realized it was from the movie "Sweet Dreams"
