Can someone explain what the posts are for on the 1971 Gauge Cluster.
They are below the Bright Light Warning Light, and the Parking Light Warning Light.
I am thinking they are Ground posts, but can't see it on the wiring diagram.
If ground wires? where should they run to / from? _________________ ROBERT

| It is just a pair of ground connections. In the diagram at the "top" of the instrument cluster you can see how the grounds are supposed to run, they are the brown wires. |

we have a 1977 so I don't know if this will help or hurt. Ignore the arrow as it addressed a question a long time ago for someone else. The brake light will be different on a 1971 than a 1977 too. We also have an EGR light that you don't. Your dash light wire will also be a different color - mine is yellow but I THINK (and could be wrong) yours is red and gray.
