Engine # 1466726 is from June 1956
The A underneath it usually means it a dealer rebuilt engine.
You night want to post a photo of the engine # to make sure it looks "normal" and is not a restamped # on a replacement case, if you are interested in knowing if it's original. _________________ How to Post Photos

not even close to 40's may/june 56. the A means a factory re-build at some time. the 111 # on the bottom is the part #. _________________ 55 deluxe 23 window bus

| Thank you very much. Your right the A, I can just see rebuilt under it. Well now for the big question is it worth anything? |

He may have picked a price not knowing the value and not wanting to start too low.
Saying "factory rebuilt" might be confusing in the ad, in my opinion, as it sounds like it's a rebuilt engine with no miles, which I'm guessing is not the case.
My Bus has a "factory rebuilt" 36hp engine in it too.
Mileage unknown... _________________ How to Post Photos

| It's worth something but hard to say without knowing the condition and probably pics to see what parts are there. |
Thank you |
