I got tired of this thing leaking. I bought a Bosch "O" ring and it still leaked so I ordered another Bosch "O" ring and did this. I hope it works |

I bet the oil is going up the shaft and dripping out the weep holes in the body. _________________ Glenn

Did you machine the second ring spot? _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

Yes I turned a new groove above the old location. I didn't go as deep or as wide as the factory groove hoping it will keep more tension on the "O" ring. |

Nope won't show up on my rare distributor thread now that I know about it. Of course in 50 years I'll be long gone or very senile!
A number of years ago I was at Wolfsburg West and Rich brought out a box of used cast iron distributors., In there was a distributor that had the bottom three inches of the shaft missing. Needless to say the drive dog was flopping around quite a bit. _________________ Roads Scholar
