I have a Manx buggy that I want to fit some nice radial on. The front is not lowered. I want to go with a big -n- little tire combo. What is a good size to go with on the front and rear? I have 8 inch wide rims on the back and 6 inchers on the front. |

if you got 8 inch rims in the back i hear you can run 11.50's but i wouldnt think it would be good, personally i'd say 10.50's will be big enough on the back, and they can be 31'' high.
6 inchers in the front, maybe get 6 inch wide tires, or 7 will also work. im not sure about rubbing so dont quote me on this, i think you can have up to 29 inch tall tires in the front
hope this helps _________________ 72 baja up for sale/trade! moving to WI in march, bug must go!

If you are looking for street only tires, then just as a suggestion. I have a '62 ragtop with 195/50/15 front and 195/60/15 rears mounted on wide chromies that look nice. They aren't so wide they make the steering hard or rob power when we get a little aggresive. BFG makes a nice tire for this. |

I'd have to venture out to the fridge("garage" in the warmer months) to verify the front tire size on my Manx, but I can tell you they are 60-series on 14" chrome Jackman-style 5-spokers. The rear tires are BFG 275/50-15, but I'm unsure of the rim width. The front beam does have a Select-a-Drop, and I'm pretty sure it's down a wee bit from stock. The rear end is a stock swingaxle, except for the coilovers. Except for the rear tires, which I had to buy this past spring, the car is set up just as it has been for a long time(it's OG right down to the gel-coat).
Here's a pic; let me know if you need any more details.
BTW, I got a pretty awesome deal on those chubby BFG's from The Tire Rack. My best price locally was about $95 each, and I was told they'd be a week away; Tire Rack had them in my hands in 3 business days for about $160 total. No sales tax either. _________________ Organized people are just too lazy to look for stuff

Just my 2 cents, but ditch those coil overs. Cheap shocks and ride. KYBs are a much better way to go( actually ,anything is better)BTW your picture wouldn't open, maybe the child lock? |
