Here he is, my boy "Maximus." I got him in 2001 from a buddy in NH who had stored him for 6 years. The body is unrestored gel-coat, and the full interior(including headliner in the hard top) was done by the original builder. Not too much else to say, except I'm running the s/p 1600 I 'borrowed' from my '68 Beetle project. It's a lot of fun in the summer months, and I can be found at most NY/MA/CT VW shows in the summer.

btw, as long as the show finally airs this season, my Manx will be on an episode of the TLC show "Date Patrol." They filmed a short sequence with the host & subject sitting in my buggy at the VW show in Terryville CT last August.

Thanks for the kind words. Bringing an off-beat vehicle like that out can definitely grab a few stares. I told my wife when we first started dating that you can't be shy and ride in that car. She has since learned a lot of the history behind Bruce Meyers and his wonderful creations, and actually answers a lot of questions that pop up at cruise nights & shows. I think they're both keepers. Very Happy
