|
|
There are 3 electrical contact arms in the gearbox of my Bosch 12V wiper motor. I have researched how to overhaul the motor and all say that you have to refill the gearbox with grease. In doing so the contacts seem to get covered in grease.
Do you fill the gearbox completely? Do the contacts have to be completely clean and the gear as well?
I can't see how you can achieve both without reducing the amount of grease in the gearbox.
Any help gratefully accepted. |

use light grease not blue marine grease- the spring loaded contacts will find a way. _________________ some days I get up and just sit and think. Some days I just sit.

Thanks William!
So light grease, like for chassis lubrication? Not lithium or extreme pressure wheel bearing grease? |

about the consistency of petroleum jelly- there are some good synthetics available that wont get waxy in a few years.
Then if you want to play with the brushes you need the magic brush retainer tool
