Are you talking about the lock/latch for the rear hatch, or the sliding door? (Both are called "cargo doors" in different contexts.) _________________ John

Pry out decorative cap on inner handle, remove screw, remove inner handle, slide outer handle out of door, done. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

If the outer handle does not come out easily... be patient and don't force it. Use lots of penetrating oil. If the little barrel thing that the door handle rod inserts into in the mechanism comes out while you're taking the handle out... its done.
I got help from a friend taking mine off and... well ended up replacing the assembly when that mechanism fell apart. _________________ 78 Riviera

Is #4 in the picture the lock cylinder?
I am doing this to bring the lock to a smith and get it re-keyed. How much of the assembly do I bring I am wondering now.... |

#4 is the collar the locks deadbolt engages, the cylinder is inside the handle itself, take the locksmith the outer handle and hopefully they will be smart and careful enough to figure out how to get the tiny setscrew out without screwing it up. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
