1949 Rear Lever Shock Links question

Starting to assemble a 1949 Beetle, I found the rear lever shock links are different. Are they side specific or is one more "correct" than the other? Were the just used interchangeably on the assembly line or should they both be the same? Thanks for any insight.

...the one on the right should be pre nov.49, the other one is the later or latest version (50/51?) so depends on when your car left the factory one is right,...and yes, both sides should have same version, don't think they mounted different versions on same car.
