My car does not have the holes for the overrider bows and I am undecided on which bumpers to go with. Has anyone mounted the overrider style without the upper supports. Will they sag is the lower bracket enough to keep them in place. I like the option of being able to change bumpers down the road and not having the holes.

the early euro bumper / fenders apron has no over rider holes . but two bumper guards . the over riders are more for the USA cars i like the look but you never said what you have ?

this was some years back , most of that stuff is now gone going for a cleaner look now Smile

you should be ok mounting a towel rail set-up without the extra bracing through the valence. I've had a couple of cars like this (in uk) so provided the main bumper mounts are solid it's fine. the upper supports are there to take the shunt force during a parking prang.

this is a hybrid set-up on the oval I had
