Just in case anyone's looking at this van it's a scam...unless they've done some amazing dash work...Obvious to most but maybe not a Vanny newb...

And if they took the effort to do that dash swap, wouldn't they have corrected the "<- Fuel Door" so it pointed to the right side? Amateurs.

| Perhaps the seller just posted the wrong picture? From the rest of the advertisement, the description looks accurate, and it does mention 237k. |

But... "back up camera"....
I guess that's cool if it's true but I bet it's not. _________________ 1981 Vanagon, Aircooled 2.0 AFC

Easy enough with a single DIN pop-out DVD player: I'm sure there are a few on The Samba.
I'm not saying it is or isn't a scam, just that it might not be ... |

I don't know whether it's a scam or not, but that picture of the instrument cluster is obviously from a different car, probably a photo mixup. You can see the real cluster in the second photo of the whole dash. Major rust in any case! _________________ Currently:

Dash shows a pop-out screen, so it's entirely possible it does have a back-up camera.
The offending non-Vanagon instrument cluster photo has been removed from the listing as of this post.
I'm inclined to believe it's not a scam, but the price is rather amusing ($8888.88 ). _________________ 1986 Cabriolet: www.Cabby-Info.com

| The ad is fixed now. Probably a photo mix-up. You can see the back-up camera in photo #5 over the license plate. |

Or disturbing if you consider the significance of the number '88' in a neo-Nazi context. |
