Buyers be aware :
We live in Belgium (Europe) and bought a VW T1 from Ricky Jines
We made an offer lower than he's asking price that he told us could not agree on but after 3 mails from him to us and back we made an offer he agreed on for buying his T1.
We arranged a bank transfer paid the money and bought the bus, we also arranged transportation, this was done last September and we received the bus this week by boat.
The bus was advertised by Ricky and had a vintage radio and ambulance fans (pictures of the advert included)
Those were mentioned in his advert in his pictures and even in a little movie where he shows and plays de radio.
What did we see immediate when our bus arrived this week?
The radio and speaker are missing, the fan cover is gone (a hole) and the dual ambulance fans are not in the bus.
So we mailed him kindly asking for the missing parts and he told us those were not in the price included, that he could have got more for that bus etc.
The last 3 days (sinds we got the bus) we mailed 15 times to him and back trying to get him to send those missing items as stated on his advert and pictures and we stayed polite and friendly but our patience is running out…
He agreed one time to send us the radio and cover but not the dual ambulance fans and we know why, they are expensive and hard to find!
We even told him he doesn’t need to send the speaker, no word about that in his advert although we hear and see the radio on his movie to us.
Only the dual fans with cover and that radio, is what we want.
He keeps on telling us we had a good deal and that he could have got more for that bus, if we want those accessories we had to pay more...
Also that he only needs to send us what's on the m-code etc.
He advertised the bus beginning of August and we agreed the end of September to buy it.
Don’t get me wrong, we are happy with the bus, even if it is not as beautiful as on the picture, we assumed that already ( it never is in real life) but we are happy with her as she is, we will give her some TLC and we will absolute love to ride with it.
But that has nothing to do with the deal we made with Ricky, we did our part, we paid for that bus the price we agreed (otherwise he would not have send it to us), he did not do his part of the deal because he took out some accessories after we bought it.
Of course we have all emails and conversations to back up our story if anyone would like to read those.
It was a big decision sending that money to the other side of the world to a guy we didn’t know and because of all this I don’t think we will ever do that again, unfortunately
What do you guys think, are we the ones who are wrong here?
Would love to know your opinion.
Jimmy.

Since you asked for opinions:
Parts should not have been removed unless that was part of the sales agreement and in writing in the email conversations about the sale. |
Thank you Everett,
that is exactly my opinion too.
There was not any conversation about removing items.
We made 2 offers and he agreed with the second one, and that was the deal. |

Worked around buyers budget, to make the deal work that's why accessories were replaced with the correct factory parts .. you want bell and whistles gotta pay up |

We mailed back and forward 50 times and you keep telling other things to justify the fact you took out parts after our deal.
We had normal negotiations, we made an offer and you agreed and never talked about budget our taking out parts.
We paid for the bus what we agreed and did our part but when we received our bus we saw you took out pieces that were on the advert, IN the text AND pictures.
Pieces that made us make an offer on that bus.
You are wrong all the way and NOT an honest seller.
Placing a radio cover or normal vent cover for about 30 USD does not justify you taking out parts that are rare and expensive.
People BE AWARE and if you like me to send you mails as proof of this guy lying, please do not hesitate to contact us, we have everything clear on mail.
He refuses sending us the items he took out.
Ricky Jines is a thief! |
