So, whilst working on my shift rod, I have had an opportunity to have a good look inside the tunnel, at the rear there's a lot of sand in there (?)
Anyone got any advice for caring for the inside of the tunnel?
Anything to put in there to keep out any moisture?

Check out eastwoods interior panel coating. It comes in a spray can with a long straw to stick in hard to get to places and sprays in a circle to cover everything. I did it on my pan and rockers and heater channels. Then inside the rear 1/4's where paint won't reach.
