I just secured my e-light switch with zip ties and now my emergency lights and signal lights work. Woohoo. TheSamba is a great resource. But riddle me this…why does only my left turn signal on the dash light up. In other words, only my left turn signal on the dash lights up regardless of whether I flip the signal for left or right. The lights on the outside bus are correct: left side for left switch and right side for right switch. Thanks so much for your thoughts! _________________ 1973 Campmobile Watercooled Engine Click to view image |

Bulbs burnt out in the dash. Both light when you go left or right at the same time. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Wait until you replace the bulb on the right side and you find out they both flash. Whether you turn left or right. VW engineering?
Glad to here you got them working.

oh oh
ok I understand. Thank you!
My wife was like: why do you care if the signal is working?
And I was like I GOTTA KNOW, er um, well the more I understand the easier it will be to fix something else when it breaks, he, he. _________________ 1973 Campmobile Watercooled Engine Click to view image |
