vw beetle 1970 RHD wiring harness

Hi i was hoping someone on this site could help me out. I am rebuilding my first beetle project and want to change the main wiring harness i have found a few LHD harnesses alot cheaper than the RHD i was considering buying the LHD and modifing it where needed to. Has anyone eles done this before? thanks

The OP may be talking about the price difference between the RHD looms that VW Looms makes in the U.K. and the LHD ones that Wiring Works makes in the U.S. I would not try converting one to the other. If the RHD car were an exact mirror image of the LHD version, then the loom would be interchangeable. In every respect that it differs from a mirror image, the wire will be too long or too short.
