| Hey guys, getting to the interior portion of the resto. Question, are the convertible hinge covers suppose to be the exterior color of the car or the interior color? PO had them Olympic Blue (exterior) but the interior is all in black, which also might be appropriate. Wondering how they came from factory? |

"polstertoff" translates as upholstery material, here are the rest.
Wagenfarbe = Body Colour
karosserie = Car Body
dachfarbe wahlweise = Roof color, per choice
Radscheiben = Wheel disks (inner portion)
Radfelgen = Wheel rims (outer portion/lip)
Blinkerschalter, Mantelrohr, Lenkrad = Indicator switch, steering column tube, steering wheel
Schalt- und Hand-Bremshebel = Shift and handbrake levers
Sitzgestelle = Seat adjusters
Sonnenblende = Sunvisors
Tür und Seitenverkleidungen = Door and side upholstery panels
Polsterstoff = Upholstery material
Polster-Kunstleder = Synthetic leather upholstery
Kunstledersitze, komplett = Synthetic leather seats, complete
Köder für Sitze und verkleidungen = Beading for seats and upholstery
Armlehnen = Armrests
Teppichstoff = Carpet material
Teppich-Einfaßband = Carpet binding strip
Hutablage = Parcel tray (rear)
Gummibelage = Rubber cladding
Faltenbalg für Schalt-hebel, Abdeckung für Hand-Bremshebel = Rubber boot for shift lever, boot for handbrake lever
Abdeckbüchse für Sicherheitsgurt-befestigung, oben = Trim piece for seatbelt anchor, upper

The plastic hinge covers I got with the car I just bought were well past their time. I just bought fiberglass hinge covers in white, and I may paint them whatever color I end up painting the car.
I think it might help tie the exterior and interior together.
