Those of you that know Rob Cress would agree that this is the appropriate forum for which to tell of his current condition. Rob's a Bus and VW enthusiast through and through with friends from East to West Coast. I know that many of the friends that he has made through the years have been through VW's and that this may be the best way to get in touch with those folks.

Many of you know Rob Cress and his current situation. I just received a call from his Sister, who has been taking care of him since he was diagnosed and treated for brain cancer. Rob is currently in the hospital and unfortunately, his time with us is likely measured in hours. If you know Rob, please send him a text message to let him know you're thinking of him. His sister is relaying the messages, bed-side, to him. As you can imagine, he can use all of the support that we can give him. His number is 970.418.1091. Please be sure to include your name in the text as his Sister likely won't know who it is.

Thanks.
Mike K

One of the coolest cats in the air cooled VW world! Meet Rob many years ago during the SOTO/VW Classic weekends. Back when VTO & Box on Wheels used to cruise together. Camped in Trabuco Canyon at the Box on Wheel campout before the Classic. Then we all cruised down to camp on the beach down in Mexico for the 1st annual VTO Mexico camp out. Good times!

I remember when he drove from Colorado to Mexico with the safaris 100% open, never closed them once.

Wow, sorry to hear such news. I drove 24 hours to meet him and buy my DD from him. I always wanted to complete it and drive back to show him I did the bus right. Only got to spend a couple of hours at the most with him but could tell he was a cool guy.

This subject has closely touched my family recently.... and I can sympathize with your family. Although I've never met you man... I pray that comfort will find those that you have left behind.

Godspeed my VW brother.... Godspeed.
