It's time to tackle some cooling system parts.
Part of this is replacing the original expansion tank with a Stainless Steel one.
1. First off, the hose connection positions are not the same. My original hoses have some top of molded connection between them which makes me wonder how would I modify the hoses to now fit the new tanks positions.
Notice hose positons perpindicular to each other.
Hose positions at different corners.
2. The next issue with this tank is the mounting points. The next tank has two tabs one on each end that bolts go through. The exiting tank has no such tabs or similar mounts on the body itself.
3. The new tank has a coolant level sensor on the top. Existing tank seems to have been plugged up not never had one? Really hard to tell. In any case I went looking around for a stray wire that may have attached to the tank at some point.
I found this nearby but can't be sure what it is for? Any ideas?
4. While looking around this wire popped off and on close inspection it looks like it was caulked on(?!) to its sensor on the engine
Any idea what this sensor is?
5. This connection has always bothered me. Looks like either a homemade part of it was repaired. Any ideas about this
Also off one of the main hoses running along the back there is this molder T coming off of it. The hose appears plugged. Where should it go?
