002 Transmission Selector Shaft

Remove the nose cone on my 002 transmission to replace the bushing/bearing.

It appears that the 3rd or 4th gear is currently engaged with the selector shaft pushed in. Understanding that I need to be in neutral before I replace the nose cone (all selector shafts level) - is there an easy way to pull out the selector shaft?

Actually easier to do than I thought, all reset in neutral.
