Is this what sells for $4000 nowadays ? 2.0, 091, new batt and nearly new tires. Probably needs a full hyd rebuild. rusted out below the WS, rust on the lower body, rust in the floors.
I would appreciate some opinions of those that have bought similar machines. TIA !!

Everyone has a different opinion of rust, without seeing the lower body and underside I can't say if it's a deal or a ripoff. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

depends where the rust is. Does it drive and brake? Is everything there and working or was / is it an empty stripped boneyard bus someone is flipping? more photos are needed. _________________ "Most people don't know what they're doing, and a lot of them are really good at it." - George Carlin |

Hello,
You are looking in the wrong part of the country for a rust-free bus my friend...
Oh, and at the wrong bus for sure. That's no deal at all. That thing is rusting from the inside out.
Keep looking... |

Its a running parts bus, someone may enjoy bopping around as is ( after addressing the safety concerns, you know- stopping ). The seller may snag a dreamer. Fixing the rust , even at an amateur level is expensive and mind numbingly time consuming . I would shell $1K if I needed the drivetrain. $4K can still bring a better Bus, plus a $ 1K for transport. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

By the pair for $4K , Wyoming has lots of deadheading rigs. Call Freedom Enterprises for shipping help, Cheap . Build a better Bus and have parts for a good long while

People see prices without context.
As Manfred said, a better bus can be had for $4k. I don't know where you're located, but there's plenty out there.
Edit:
I see you're in Georgia now.
Also be careful that something yard drives. My money is on it's needing brakes, and that running engine is doing so on 73 psi compression and .018" endplay.
I'm in Little Rock, and can get you a better bus than that for $4k. Don't be tempted by a puttering turd.

Actually the bus I posted is exactly what I want but only if priced fairly. $1200 to $1500 is what I would pay if the motor and trans have some life left in them. |

Your competition is parting it out for a lot more than your offer, you gotta pay to play

Having sold parts for 40 years and parted many, many Bus's thinking its an easy buck these days is wayyy off. The aftermarket provides many parts previously unavailable and heavy parts are a bitch to ship with greyhound in serious decline. Plenty of running Bus's to be had, fewer and fewer trained mechanics to provide support. The high water mark has come and passed. There are some decentish parts Bus's listed here for $500 that don't move. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |
