Steering Lock Models and Date Ranges

So I have been searching through the forums and have not been able to find out any concrete dates on which steering lock models were available and correct for which year beetles. I know the l part number toggle switch is considered split window and the push button model is considered oval window, but what years did they start and stop being available?

This is posted as an accessory brochure from '52 and it shows a push button style although it mounts differently.

The toggle switch ones are definitely earlier but they might not have been made all the way until the end of split production.
