After all day rain, 6.5 ", I got in to drive home from work and was shocked to see water dripping from overhead grab handle. No rust/holes anywhere in vicinity. Pillar filling up somehow...anyone see that before?

Which grab handle? Sunroof? Westy?

So, still unclear if its the A pillar handle or one of several overhead handles along the top of the roof. No matter.

So, you must have a rusted hole in your drip channel, or a really bad window seal leak. When you slowed, the water rushed forward from the full pillar behind the slider door from the window leak. Or a hole could fill any pillar. Also check the latch that holds the slider open. If its loose, water runs down the pillar on the outside where the two screws hold the latch. Which is fine because that flows to the street. But if its loose, water collects on the top edge of the latch and literally trickles at a pretty high rate into the pillar itself. I've literally watched it flow a pencil lead thick stream. Cure is tighten them with a 90 degree screwdriver, then put a bead of outdoor caulk across the top of the latch so water is diverted around and falls to the street.

Look for round plastic plugs to pull to release the trapped water. Might be oval. Be ready to roll away cause its filthy water.

Thanks for that answer, there is a rust hole about even with the rear of the front door, gotta be where it's coming from. I thought that would drain out somewhere before it went all the way to the front.
Repair is needed there, obviously. I will tighten up the grab handle and caulk, and also hope that we out don't see another 6.5 "s of rain in 12 hours again, for quite a while.
I guess I could leave it and use it as a rain gauge!!
Thanks again.
