Propane quick connector

As I’m planning my Propex installation, I want to install a “quick connect” propane port near the heater for external stoves and other appliances. While I’ve seen pictures of them installed on other RVs I’m not certain about the port itself. It looks just like the one on my air compressor, is it the same or are there other incompatible versions? My thought is instead of using an elbow
connector into the Propex, I’d use a T instead and route the new female connector to it. The right way to go?

It's similar to the one on your compressor, but not exact. I wouldn't substitute it.
