So maybe they're not the sexiest accessory, but they certainly are unique. Based on the various holes in my truck, I'm certain my 64 was modified to run a gas heater, but I'm not certain which one. Does anyone regularly use one? How many different models where available? Are parts readily available? Pro/Cons to having them? Thanks in advance! |

What model is that? Can it be mounted on the pass side too? Still use it? |

It is a B2 heater.
You could probably mount it on the roof it you wanted to, but why would you? It fits perfectly where it is designed to fit. It does not fit anywhere else. _________________

Here is the eberspacher installed on my '60. I traded it for a few old Sapphire radios. I welded the holes shut.
I also got a replacement gas tank. |

Here are a few pictures of a B2 in my '63:
I drove this bug year round in Fairbanks, AK for about 10 years and the heater made it very doable. The old ones are simple and put out serious heat.
Cons? A furnace directly above your gas tank might cause unpleasant issues in a collision. For me, parts are not a problem as I have a few spares:

This is the only heat this car has. Does fine in the mild climate around here. _________________
