|

This is so weird. 2002 Eurovan MV (no sunroof), bought it 2 months ago and fixed head gasket. All has been good since, and put 1K miles on it. No water loss from cooling system.
The past few days it's also been kind of mildew-smelling. It is Florida in the summer, so it rains daily - and we just went camping where it rained a lot, so we aired it out yesterday.
The shifter base is missing the sliding plastic piece that covers the hole the shifter goes into. No big deal - but today my wife happened to glance down there, and it is full of water. I could have koi - its a few inches deep at least.?!?!? Where could it be coming from?
There is a wet spot of carpet on the passenger side, but right near the door and no where around it. Nothing from the console area that I can tell.
Are there AC drain lines that get clogged or anything? Any other ideas?

Yep. The drain line from the A/C evaporator could be clogged, or not connected. If the carpeting is wet in front of the shifter, or around the base of the console, that could be the culprit. _________________

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor. |
I don't think electrickery works that way |

in my case, my windshield is leaking down the A pillar and under the carpet- as a low spot, I guess it can gather there. To be fair, I haven't had the 'Lake Shifter' problem for a while.
The occasional drip from windshield would land between the airbag and steering wheel and destroyed the clock speing, which is also something to avoid.
