082 Cargo floor mountings for short middle seat? Seen on '63 walk-through model 251 Deluxes and 281 Standards
It is a mistake but some later European did have that Mcode for disc brake

The 082 for disc brakes is probably the M-code for Bays and they messed up the certificate

Is the Casino Kombi an OG 2-tone Kombi?

Strange special order. Optioning a Kombi until it becomes a standard sunroof without a cloth headliner. Maybe that was the point, no headliner to get torn.
Or did it just leave the factory in that configuration? I once owned a 1979 Ford F150 that had Custom trim down one side and Ranger trim down the other. I bought it from the original owner who said it came like that from the factory. I also knew a guy with a 1/2 ton Chevy that turned out to have been optioned to 3/4 ton but kept the 1/2 ton badging. He was the first owner and bought it off the lot like that.

It is a Kombi not a standard. Someone must have order it this way. IMO

I saw a 66 years ago, two tone and a headliner (essentially a standard with a 23 VIN), I was super doubtful but the M plate was legit. Sadly the guy he sold it to butchered it up and it's gone now so no way to see the plate again.

I don’t think so. That bus was original paint from the belt line up though.

I think there is a photo of a two tone Kombi in the German text bus book with the white cover. It’s a side view in a photo studio and it has the cargo doors open showing the grey panels with the wood.

Maybe this is a dealer order, rather than a customer order vehicle?

Dealers often option vehicles with weird combinations of options to use as demonstrators. And back in the day I remember seeing base model Fords etc. with one or two high-spec options and lots of dealer badging that were sold as promotional models to raise the dealer's profile.
