Hey all,
Driving around the west coast on a three month Roadtrippers and would really like to stay in Boulder for a bit, but struggling to find good campsites that are suitable for my 2wd vanagon and hotels/airbnbs ffor cheap. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Going to arrive in Boulder tonight and stay until at least Friday.
Thanks!

dunno about Boulder but in Seattle a guy was arrested recently for bombing an RV
he was tired of vagrants shooting up in his neighborhood, tho the homeless RV inhabitants were just sleeping there
but have fun _________________ .... |

I know you can legally park your camper out by the homeless shelter on Lee Hill and Broadway -- bonus, it's directly across a field from Wolfsburg Autowerks, so if you need work done you can do it right there.
It's not beautiful, there's a lot of full time RV folks who look like they were kicked out of the trailer park, there's a homeless shelter nearby and a strip club across the parking lot. You won't want to hang out there.
But you can camp there for sure.
(the road just past the man with his dog)
Otherwise, just find a spot where overnight parking is allowed and be cool about it. don't rage a party out of your camper and try and keep the top down if at all possible.
Same goes for Denver. I"ve seen people camped out on Colfax and streets off of it in cap hill for months now. _________________ -------

Off Mapleton street up by the foothills to the east is a good area
Also in the Park East condo area along the monroe dr entrance road, no one will bother you if you're quiet.
***come out to the get together for the blackglasspirate folks, traveling for a year in their van at Odd13 in Lafayette, 15 min up baseline from boulder. Saturday 7pm |

I almost always see campers parked on Mapleton Ave between 28th and 30th. It is right near the YMCA and a quiet street that would definitely be better than up by the homeless shelter. I don't know if anyone ever gets hassled for sleeping there, but based on the semi-permanent rigs that I see there, I think it'd be worth a try. _________________ 1986 Syncro Sunroof EJ22
