Posting photos and addding them to the Gallery. I'm sure most of these have been seen here before - but we always enjoy a rerun of a good show or photo?
Here is a coachbuilt based on a 1946 sedan, this one has been published in VW magazines. I wonder if it was restored?

I'll risk being corrected to say this one is probably coachbuilt, judging by the rollup windows and the removable hardtop, overall finish etc. The other one should be turned back into a '46 Beetle Wink

This one should have been used for a coachbuilt - unfortunately just another 1950 rusting away in Waco Texas 1986, maybe someone saved it.
Use this to fix one of the other two.

the 46 is also a custom build and as such should be cared for and kept up but not restored to its 1946 condition. Just because the car was built by an unknown person or small business doesen't mean that it has no value. Who ever did the work was actually rather good considering the time and the damage done to the original car.

I would love to own it and would keep it in its present form.

Here is a 1952 It was white when I worked on it in 1975, later restored and painted red. Maybe the owner would like to see the old photos prior to restoration.
The silver one on the left is mine, Gene, it is Paul from Memphis.

This one was featured in Hot VWs magazine back in the late 80s. Article included it's complete history as well as the owner (at that time)
