Early bay turn signal switch wiring
Aftermarket switch wiring. So you got a new switch. But the colors don't match.
Turn signal switch clearance
Headlight Dip (dimmer) switch contact points.
When you pull up on the lever, this set of contact points close and switch the headlight Dip relay from Low<-->High beam and vise versa with each pull of the lever.
211 953 531 C 8 wire: This switch has showed up in 68-71s. But I was unable to find any information in the parts manuals or internet at the time of writing
Special Models 211 953 531 D 5 wire: This switch was used on Special models.

211 953 513 J / SWF HLS 69 SAE QB 71 / 72 Turn Signal Switch 7 wires
1972-Only
This switch was used with the introduction of the separate turn signal bulb on 1972 models.

Prior to 1972. This switch was used for 1970-71 Export markets with M-code 24.
M24 = Sealed beam head lamps side flashing indicators and back up lamps.

211 953 509 H / SWF HLS 201 096 / 73-M74 Turn signal indicator switch 5 wire.
1973 to ch. no. 164 059 1974
Production dates From August '72 to April '74.
The plastic piece is known to break.
Note crack in the center of the white plastic piece.
