I am installing a dual weber 40 idf kit on my 77 bus so need to cut off the air cleaner bracket. Cutting up the bus is not something I am excited about so I looking for guidance on the best way cut it and where I should cut on the bracket to preserve for future use if the bus goes back to FI?

those brackets kind of suck to remove
cut above the welds, then grind the welds flat. you will do some damage to the bracket, but nothing too bad. if these were spot welded, they would be easier to remove _________________

I asked this question a while ago too:

Nothing to add to what's already been said really, but what type11969 did with his bracket might give you an idea of an option to easily put it back in with bolts. _________________ '79 Westy, P22 interior, FI 2.0 l Federal, GE engine (hydraulic lifters)
