Yeah, there were a few. We also had a couple who were doing Saturday errands in their Westy and saw the parking lot from the highway; they came over and said hello. It's always fun meet walk-ons! _________________ Joe T.

We're having an afternoon meetup on Sunday, June 12th.
2:00 PM at Cohesion Brewing, 3851 Steel Street, Unit 1388, Denver 80205.
My brewery nerd buddy says they have the best Czech Lagers in Colorado.
Try to make it if you can!
Hopefully Connor's beauty will be there:

It was sweltering early in the day, but the afternoon storm clouds rolled in and cooled things off a bit for our meetup yesterday. I was informed that the beer was very good; we had a decent turnout and a bunch of super nice folks, as usual.
Except for the fella in his electric Mustang and his best bro in the Tesla.
(VWHammer drove his LX470 out there on the left, was really hoping to see his ABA swap but was glad to finally meet him regardless!)
I have full Monstaliner envy (but am too in love with my pinstriping.)
Carl's van gets better looking every time I see it.
Mark's rig with the old school RMW bumpers
Tom's time capsule '87
Tina's all original AC with a freshly rebuilt 2.0...They had just come back from Camping in Wyoming:
Charles was coming in hot from Montreal, on his way out on a summer trip through the Rockies and on to the PNW. He saw the meetup on Facebook and came by for a bit. I have to say, meeting people who are in the middle of a continental road trip, they have such an excitement and energy about them. That vibe tends to overwhelm my inherent envy.
All in all, another laid back, fun meetup. Love this group. _________________ Joe T.

Hi Folks,
Sorry for the late notice but our friends at Boulder Vanagons are having a meetup tomorrow afternoon.
Been a few years but it’s happening—Summer Vanagon meetup!
Saturday July 30, 3:30 until whenever you wanna leave.
BYOB and food if you want.
For those that have joined us there before at Community Foothills Park there’s a HUGE lot, bathrooms on site, great park/playground for kiddos.
See ya there!
I'm hoping to attend but I've got a new set of noises that I'll explain in another thread... _________________ Joe T.

It was a light turnout in Boulder on Saturday, but we had a beautiful afternoon and it was great to meet up and chat with a nice group of folks.
We'll do another Denver get-together in September. _________________ Joe T.

Hi Folks,
Autumn Meetup!
Saturday, Sept. 24th we're getting together at Stem Cider in Lafayette at 2PM.
1380 Horizon Ave.
Lafayette, CO
I envision the event looking similar to this, except with no trees, no stream, and plenty of brown switchgrass. And an incredible mountain view.

Was going to say, this one is close enough it should be no problem getting the van down there. Not sure about bringing the furry co-pilot though, since the website says they have one small area that's dog friendly. _________________ 1984 2wd 7 Passenger Tin Top |

Great turnout on a lovely afternoon. We'll try to fit in another before the snow flies, probably in Golden.

Denver Vanagons Winter Meetup!
Saturday, Feb. 18, 2:00 PM
Great Divide Barrel Bar
1812 35th St.
Denver, CO 80216
I just drove by there and they still have the big gravel lot in back, so there should be plenty of parking.

The van has been down for some winter R&R.
I’ll have to see if I can get things put back together in time. |

We're going to try to get up there for this one. We're in Woodland Park so a bit of a drive but the back route is always a nice relaxed drive when we head up for concerts, hikes, mountain biking, etc.
Thanks for putting these together.

I never know how these things are going to go, especially the winter ones. But we got absolutely perfect weather yesterday and, as a result, a fantastic turnout.
Several new folks and a bunch of dear friends made appearances; as always, knowledge and laughs were shared in equal measure. Can't ask for more than that.

Wow, crickets on the Samba. I guess FB saved this get-together! I should join that someday, I've heard lots about it.
Thanks Joe for putting this together. It was nice to see a lot of new faces and a few old faces and swap stories. Lots of beautiful campers, most with Subaru engines.
Nice to spend some time with you all, next up Syncro Solstice! _________________ Joel Lane
