Has anyone run hot water through the city water port on a Westy?
Hot water would be nice for dishes. Since I already own the necessary equipment, why not try?
Currently, I run my Rainshower through a propane hot water tap, which is easily connected to the Westy propane tank. A little suction cup holds the shower head up. My gal gets three, hot, nearly silent, 4-minute showers from this configuration.
I can't believe I never thought of hooking this up to my city water? I just habitually heat water on the stove as needed, which is easy enough.
Last, there is a pretty cool product called HotTap that pulls water from the stock westy tank. I would imagine this could easily plug into the city water port. Perhaps people have tried it.

There are already some people/groups that are selling kits like yours.
You will see some of them at the Vanagon gatherings. _________________ One Life, Live It |

Mine is not really a kit. I was inspired by the Samba folk who have made all the different mods and I just landed on my set up.
I am just curious if anyone has put hot water through the city port. |
