Hi folks i've a problem, i just fitted some 2.5'' spindles on my bug with a adjustable standard width front beam i wanted to fit my 6.5 banded steel wheels with 185x55x15 tyres on but they stick out of the arches and they touch the top of the tyre having said that it is low just want to know will i have to put standard wheels on front thanks |

Stock rims were 4.5 inches wide. You’re adding 2 inches to that.
Drop spindles can add 1/4 inch per side. So you are adding ~2.25 inches per side.
You’ll need a narrowed beam, or a different offset, or narrower rim. _________________ Everything known to man has been written.

Sorry your custom rims don't fit, custom them some more so they are 5", which fits great. |

A narrowed beam would help that or skinnier wheels. I have 185/55’s on 5.5” wheels with a 2” narrowed beam. Fits very nice. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)
