I just got my IDF 40 CB kit which doesn't have too may instructions. So just wanted to get some advice from the community.
Firstly, both carbs look the same so should i leave the throttle spring on opposite sides, or should i swap them so both are on the same (front) side?
Secondly, how is the air filter base connected to the carb base? |

All though this covers a type 1, most all of the info still applies (and addresses your questions).

You can leave the throttle springs where they are on the carbs, it will work fine even though they are on opposite ends of the carbs. CB used to sell a throttle arm "fix" that allowed you to easily move the left side carb return spring back to the "correct" side. Some say this prevents twist of the throttle shaft over time. Practically I don't think its really a big issue. _________________ Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2006
