Anyone ever drill a Maxi pump 2 filter for a oil temp sensor? Wondering if there is a nice spot for it that works like the other external filter mounts.

I have Maxi2 pump/filters on both my VWs.

I would suggest getting a sender to that replaces the oil relief valve cap or the oil drain plug. I've use the latter since 1977.

Thanks ya I read all the post about location of temp sender and I don't really love that location personally I'm sure it can work and probably is just fine, not ruling it out completely but not my 1st choice

I don't think its possible given the length of the sensor. Unless you don't mind it sticking really far out using couplers n stuff.
