Anyone ever drill a Maxi pump 2 filter for a oil temp sensor? Wondering if there is a nice spot for it that works like the other external filter mounts.

I have Maxi2 pump/filters on both my VWs.
I would suggest getting a sender to that replaces the oil relief valve cap or the oil drain plug. I've use the latter since 1977. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. The '71 now has the 1835 engine, swapped from the '70. Thanks ya I read all the post about location of temp sender and I don't really love that location personally I'm sure it can work and probably is just fine, not ruling it out completely but not my 1st choice |

I don't think its possible given the length of the sensor. Unless you don't mind it sticking really far out using couplers n stuff. _________________ It's an ongoing journey, never forget where you came from....
