|

I recently acquired a set of Solex 40 P11-4 carbs. I am needing a good linkage set to mount to my type 1 motor. it looks like the throttles swing "down" unlike the Kadrons and Webers I have on my other engines. Will the standard hex bar
linkages work for this application, or am I going to have to pony up for a Gene Berg linkage set? _________________ 2006 RAM 1500 HEMI 4X4 92 LT250

I have a set of the 40 P11 carbs and they came with an old Berg Linkage. I have seen a picture of a pair using Deano push-pull linkage, but the carburetor arms looked custom. The old EMPI kit for those carbs, had a crossbar linkage that pivoted on the airfilter housings, much like the current CB hex style cross bar. _________________ modok wrote:

The only examples I have seen were the Berg style and one photo of what looked like hex bar with the pivots at the air cleaner bases, that one was a single photo, without any real detail. _________________ 2006 RAM 1500 HEMI 4X4 92 LT250

Here's what I have, minus the berg linkage which is installed on another car.
