Hello,
I removed my rear heater and now have a rather large rectangular opening.
What are you using to close this off?
Thanks
Rich

The PO of my van (a cabinet maker) just cut a piece of wood that fits perfectly into the hole and stays put with friction. I've pondered replacing / dressing it up with something but it's so unnoticeable that I forget about it.
It would actually be an enjoyable small project to take on in the coming weeks so I'm curious to read what others are doing too.
Some people use that hole as a heating outlet for Propex furnaces.
It could be used (even enlarged) in conjunction with a some sort of door to access small things without having to lift the bench seat. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

A large subwoofer sure would be nice! But that ain't happening. I get enough of those Phil bombs at home.
My propex heater is located underneath my truckfridge.
And it should be easy to cut a piece of wood, but with the advent of 3D printing, I am thinking someone must have something cool. |

I have just removed my rear heater too. I am planning to put a piece of sheet metal across it and install a couple of USB sockets, ideal location for recharging devices while in bed! |

Nothing. In my ‘85 I blocked it off using the stock bezel to finish it. In my ‘90 it’s been a few years and I haven’t done anything with it. Everything under the seat is stored in containers so nothing passes through.
This is on the to-do list with all the other things that will be very nice when completed but never seem to get started. _________________ - Jim
