Using the search, I think this seat is a
59 or possibly earlier. What do you guys think?

That type of seat was used for several years. My '63 has the same ones.

If the studs for the seat back located on the base frame are threaded for M6 cap nuts, then they're from a late '61 through '64 model. Prior to VIN 3771255 those posts were unthreaded.

If you take a close look at the seat back spring frame, sometimes they were stamped with the date of manufacture or had a crimped on tab with a stamped date. See an example from the gallery below.

With the single color heat seamed pleat covers, non threaded backrest studs, and what looks to be Basalt Grey paint I would guess early 1961.
But as rcooled mentioned, it will fit in a pretty big window of years with very minor differences… Especially if you are restoring them…

The vinyl pattern and welting is identical to what I have in my stock 1961 Bug, although mine is a different color, the pattern is the same. So I think it could be from a 1961. By 1965 the seat for sure was different as I have a stock 65 and it aint at all like that.

1956-60 just a pin where the back rest met the lower frame, and 1961-64 the pin is threaded to accept a 10mm acorn nut.
Also, on 56-60 seats with the upper frames, where they meet the lower frame they come to a point, and on 61 on the flatten out. Like whats pictured below.
