Hella Emergency Switch 1955

Hi All,

Looking for a little help. I have this time switch kicking around my office and am looking to sell it but I don't know whether it's a) rare or b) valuable. I'm looking for some guidance on price. I've found a picture of it in an excerpt from the 1955 Hella catalogue and it was apparently used on police and/or fire vehicles.

Any suggestions?

I purchased one many years ago, too hastily actually... Heart over head.

I'd seen one in a photo of a fire-bus and was under the impression, at the time, that that was how all siren setups working in VW emergency vehicles.

I was keen to get my ambulance siren setup original.

I don't recall what I paid for it, but I know that it was a fairly substantial sum at the time and that I felt like I was paying probably more than what the demand equated to in financial value.

I would assume that it is "rare", but I can't really advise you as to the pricing.

Mine is now sitting in my cabinet as a display item, until I find someone that really needs it...

Sounds like you acquire things the same way I do - purely based on the fact that you like them!

I certainly am guilty of that, but this particular item was actually bought in error.

Perhaps I should offer it up as a swap item for the myriad of goodies that I really am in need of.
