Here's why Double 03.
This was taken around 2010-2012 at my parents house. The one nearest is the one I have just posted pics of. That was my mums one and only car, purchased from a dealer which was there demonstrator car in 1975. I sold it for her in 2012 when she stopped driving and then purchased it back in 2017. I have all the documentation and it shows me as owner 4. I drove this the day I passed my test back in 85.
The other is the other part of Double 03 and was my dad's. He purchased it new in 73 and gave it to me before he became really ill back in 2010 before he passed away. I'm owner 2.

First outing since September 17. Off to get a quote for the rear 1/4 resprayed, which I was happy with. So all booked in, then I can start using her and move on with the next phase.

Its the other 03, my dads one. Posted on 12/12. Here's another pic uncovered in 2017. The other pic I've just taken on my phone of a photo in a frame, so apologies for the poor quality. Its me on a bike in 1976 with this car I drove today in the background and the black and white one is my Dad's with my mum next to it in 1973.

Ok I screwed up! I started a readers rides in another thread (Late model super 68 up). Been on here a few years but never really posted anything, so live and learn etc.
I predominately use a UK(mainly) site VZI or Volkszone, both being the same. I have two 1303's and here are the links to the two.
First is entitled 1 Owner 1303 https://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=665403
And second is a bit of both hence the Double-0-3 https://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=1537474
I'm not the best at updating this sort of stuff but over the next couple of years there, hopefully, will be plenty going on.
Any questions, opinions or advice please post. Phil |

Looking good Phil. I'd me mighty tempted to stick the mag industries on it if it were mine looks good on the sprints too, you gonna detail them or leave them black for a stealth look? |

Cheers Baz. Probably will run with the sprints as is for now. I’ve been running around over the weekend in the car and it’s getting a lot of attention, all a bit strange really, but fun.
The Mags are lovely, but they tuck under the rear wings fine but the fronts will require a slightly wider wing to tuck under. I’ll use some CSP ones on the other 03.
Next jobs are electrical. Wire the clock in, heated screen and TT heated seat elements. Source some dials, probably Speedhut dual in the binnacle and three others, fuel, oil pressure and temp in the radio aperture. Then locate s DAB radio in the glove box probably. And then, and then .... |
