Panchitos are a bit overkill for a 1600 in an OHV. Using factory heads will yield better bottom end.
Either of the dual carb kits above will work, but do avoid this: WEBER Progressive 32/36. _________________

What is a boost retard?
Where do you put the inter cooler for it at? And does it use its own coolent?
The real problem with NA engines is you don't hear the nice whine of the turbo as it spools up.
Before I commit, I'm going to do more research because I don't really know what piston rings are. |

ICTs are not good when the going gets rough. The float bowl vents directly to venturi. On steep a angle, or bumpy terrain, raw fuel is dumped directly into the engine, flooding it.
I had ICT's in my off road Thing. They were responsive and torquey on smooth power line roads. Going up a steep hill, the only way to keep the engine running was at WOT. Same with heavy terrain. Spit, cough, backfire.
A video I took years ago. Listen at the end, the engine is flooded after the whoops, and won't run right until the fuel clears out.
