| I have a metal badge that I picked up on ebay several years ago. It has the words Fahrzeughas Angerhofer Kaufbeuren on it. I do not know any German but I think this is from an auto dealership named Angerhofer in Kaufbeuren which I believe is located in Bavaria. Anyone who can confirm this and is/was that dealership a Volkswagen dealer? |

I can confirm, Kaufbeuren is a small town in Bavaria. As I found out, Angerhofer began selling bicycles and motor bikes in the 1920s and later was a FORD car dealership.
In 1969 it was bought by the car dealer Langer who still exists today dealing with BMW, Ford and Fiat.
I could not find out, when the dealership in Kaufbeuren closed.

Car Dealers used to put Badges on used cars too. Just pretend your Beetle was taken in when a new Ford was sold. Later a proud new owner drove away with his "new" used beetle he just bought an Angerhofer´s  |
