Hey folks -- when at 40MPH and going uphill, I kick down to 2nd gear and it drops in with a bang. Otherwise it shifts under normal driving conditions smoothly.
Are there some adjustment to make -- I don't want it banging into gear... it only does this at high RPMs on the kickdown to 2nd.

Check the adjustments of the throttle and transmission..exactly as described in the Bentley. Any errors in adjustment will cause harsh shifting or no shifting issues. It helps to have someone in the cockpit working the throttle.
Check the ATF level as per the book too. |
