1957 Oval with stock 36HP engine. I have an oil cooler leak. Can I remove the engine lid and get the fan shroud off to get to the cooler to replace it? I'd like to avoid pulling the engine if possible. Anyone done this before? Thanks. |

i think the fan shroud will just come right off without even removing the engine lid. |

But it is easier with the lid out of the way! _________________ Jimbo

I guess..... unless your doing out in your driveway in the rain. You can use the deck lid as an umbrella |

To get the fan shroud off without pulling the engine the decklid has to come off and the hinge mounts swung to the side. I have done this many times.
